Have you ever wondered why it is so unacceptable to be a Christian in the world today? Why is there such hostility for those who name the name of Christ? This hostility is not personal nor does it exist it just a in certain countries. This rejection is world-wide. In the world those who reject the name of Christ prosper. The reason for this rejection is very clear. Jesus said: ” If the world hates you , keep in mind that it hated me first” (John 15:18).
Then Jesus said: ” If you belonged to the world, it would love its own. As it is you do not belong to the world but I have chosen you out of the world” (John 15: 19).
Why does the world hate Jesus and his followers? Jesus said : “They will treat you this way because of my name for they do not know the One who sent me” (John 15: 21).
Our Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit has opened your eyes and you have been reconciled to God. You are now part of God’s family and this can never be changed.
The world does not know God and does not want to. Someday all who have rejected truth will be judged for this rejection.
It is difficult to live as a Christian in this world, but not impossible. Live for God and He will bless you in many ways. Every conflict however has one of two conclusions: a winner and a loser. When you put your faith in Jesus you became a winner!
If you are a loser and you know it and want to be a winner, you may do so by praying this simple prayer: “Jesus I know I am a loser and I ask you to come into my life and give me real meaning.
